George Scott

Heads the Information Security function at Tesco Bank, UK


Biography:

George currently Heads the Information Security function at Tesco Bank, the UK’s most successful supermarket bank, having joined from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in December 2009.  At RBS, he most recently headed a team at the heart of Group Security & Fraud, co-ordinating responses to threats with regard to information security, physical security, business continuity and financial crime.

His background is predominantly as a leader of Technology Audit and Information Security functions in financial services companies, although he also spent approximately 6 years as a senior manager specialising in Information Systems Assurance and Advisory Services.  In addition to those organisations mentioned above, George has also worked with Saudi Cairo Bank and Standard Life, a leading international provider of life assurance and pensions, investment management and healthcare insurance products.  At Standard Life, he headed up the Group Internal Audit function during the year leading up to demutualisation of the company.
